Vancouver Notary Swears Solemn Declaration - College of Massage Therapists of BC

Solemn Declaration for College of Massage Therapists (CMT) of British Columbia

It is exciting to be starting a new career as a Massage Therapist. As a new massage therapist, in order to submit your application for registration in the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia, you will need to swear a 'Solemn Declaration - Form 2' regarding your good character, and file it with the College of Massage Therapists of BC.

Brosgall Legal | Notary Services would be pleased to assist you with this solemn declaration as you start your new career. This article will explain what you need to know about solemn declarations, which are also called statutory declarations. If you have any questions, or want to book an appointment, please send us an email or call us at 604-685-ADAM [2326]. You may also visit our home page for further information.

Solemn or Statutory Declarations

A Solemn or Statutory Declaration is a written document of facts that the declarant (you) says is true. Your College provides the necessary Solemn Declaration - Form 2, and so you just need to bring it into our office to fill out and sign. To paraphrase the 7 paragraphs of the Solemn Declaration, you will be swearing to certain facts when you sign the document. You will say that you have not been convicted of an offence that would be unprofessional (paragraph 1), that you are not incompetent (paragraph 2), that you are a person of good character (paragreaph 3), that your right practice has not been restricted or cancelled (paragraph 4), that you are not under investigation (paragraph 5), that you intend to take the Registration Examination (paragraph 6), and that you will 'uphold the honour and dignity of the profession...' (paragraph 7).

Professional Registrations and Applications

Brosgall Legal regularly helps people with their solemn and statutory declarations when they are registering or applying for new professional designations. While it is exciting to be starting a new career, you should always be careful to complete your documentation correctly. Failing to do so can result in delays, rejections and returned applications. We'll review all your paperwork in our office to ensure everything is in order (at no additional charge), and then finish the notarization procedure. We make certain your statutory declarations are done properly the first time
